Renowned actress Mita Vashist assumes charge of Haryana’s Film and Entertainment Council

Renowned actress Mita Vashist, the newly appointed Chairperson of the Governing Council established under the Haryana Film and Entertainment Policy, on Monday paid a courtesy visit to the Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar shortly after assuming her new assignment.   

During the meeting, Vashisth assured the Chief Minister of her dedication and commitment to enhancing and promoting the film and entertainment sector in Haryana, promising to do everything in her capacity to contribute positively.

Speaking on this occasion, Chief Minister said that Haryana has tremendous potential to become a thriving film production hub. The state offers excellent connectivity, a secure environment, scenic beauty, and significant historical importance, making it an ideal location for the film and entertainment industry to thrive.

It is worthwhile to mention here that the State Government has appointed the actress as the Chairperson of the Governing Council, tasked with overseeing the effective implementation of the Haryana Film and Entertainment Policy.

During the interaction, she expressed her sincere gratitude for the honour of being appointed as the Chairperson of this significant council. Additional Principal Secretary to Chief Minister and Director General, Information Public Relations and Languages Department Dr Amit Agrawal was  also present on this occasion.
