Haryana government on Thursday appointed former Haryana IAS officer Ram Niwas as Chairperson of State Police Complaint Authority with immediate effects.
Apart from many important posts, Ram Niwas has served as Home Secretary of Haryana.
As per the order issued by the State government, the term of the said Authority shall be three years unless, he resigns at any time before the expiry of his term or he is removed from the office on any ground mentioned in Section 62 of Haryana Police Act, 2007.
The terms and conditions of his appointment will be finalised subsequently.
