Haryana Min Gurjar greets teachers on Teacher’s Day

On the occasion of Teacher’s Day, while congratulating and extending greetings to the teachers of the state, Haryana Education Minister Kanwar Pal Gurjar said that behind every successful person, there is a teacher who always inspires them to walk on the right path. 

 

In a message issued here today on the eve of Teacher’s Day, Gurjar said that every year on September 5, the birth anniversary of former President and educationist Dr Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan is celebrated all over the country as Teacher’s Day.h

The Education Minister urged all teachers to take new initiatives to ensure the implementation of New National Education Policy-2020 that has been announced after three decades.  He called upon the teachers to contribute in building a self-reliant and modern India.

 

Kanwar Pal Gurjar said that the new National Education Policy would not only connect our students to their roots, but also give them full potential to become global citizens as in this policy while  emphasizes  is on innovation it also refers to setting up National Research Forum (NRF), which  is an important step.

 

The more emphasis is laid on research work, the more we will be able to take the country ahead in the global competition”, the Minister said.

 

He said that a teacher is also known as a nation builder. The ancient tradition of Guru-Shishya in India is still alive today which is not found anywhere else in the world.
