Haryana police nab two wanted rewarded criminals

Arrested criminals were carrying a collective reward of Rs 35,000

Haryana Police, in separate incidents, have apprehended two wanted criminals, carrying a collective reward of Rs 35,000 from Sonipat district.

Giving this information here on Monday, an official spokesperson informed that in the first operation, a CIA team after getting a tip-off about the presence of a rewarded criminal, who waiting for a vehicle to go to Utter Pradesh, near Bahalgarh immediately raided the location and nabbed Deshpal, a resident of district Mujaffarnagar in Uttar Pradesh.

He was wanted in connection with a murder case in 2011. Police had announced a bounty of Rs 25000 on his arrest. The accused kept hiding in the akharas in Kolhapur, Maharashtra to avoid arrest. Court had also declared him proclaimed offender (PO) in 2011.

In the second crackdown, STF team Sonipat had arrested Shyam, hailing from district Bhagpat in Uttar Pradesh, a proclaimed offender, carrying a reward of Rs10,000. He alongwith his aide had murdered a farmer in 2012. A case in this connection is registered in Palwal. Police had declared a bounty of Rs10,000 on him. His aide had already been arrested.

Cases against the accused have been registered under the relevant sections of IPC and further probe is underway.
