Haryana revises policy awarding dedicated teachers

Taking significant steps in the interest of the hardworking and dedicated teachers of government and aided-schools, Haryana government has approved the ‘State Teacher Award Policy-2020’. 

 

This policy will be deemed applicable from August 29, 2020 in place of the policy formulated in the year 2016. The state awards will be approved as per the new policy in future.

 

Giving information in this regard, an official spokesperson said that under the ‘State Teacher Award Policy-2020’, the teachers would be given these awards under two categories. The first category includes, Principal, Headmaster of High School and PGT teachers in all subjects, while in the second category, Primary Teacher, Head Teacher, C&V and TGT Teacher of all subjects and Elementary School Head Master (Middle Head).

 

He further informed that the best performing teachers in the state would be given around 90 state-awards, of which 45 awards would be given to lady teachers and 45 awards would be given to male teachers. 

 

The state government will be given a cash prize of Rs 21,000, a silver medal, a certificate, a shawl and the teacher receiving the award will be given two years extension after retirement in 58 years and dearness allowance during future service. Furthermore, two advance increments will also be given.
