HSA pays homage to Kargil Martyrs on ‘Vijay Diwas’

Paying tributes to Kargil martyrs on the 20th anniversary of Kargil Vijay Diwas, the Hindustan Student Association (HSA) a candle march at Panjab University (PU) here on Friday.

The peaceful candle march paying tribute to Kargil martyrs was organized at PU’s Student Center by the HSA, one of the leading student associations in PU and its colleges.

Students gathere here under the umbrella of HSA also raised slogans – ‘Bharat Mata Ki Jai’, ‘Vande Matram’, and ‘Indian Army Zindabad’.

HSA president Navdeep Boora said that the debt of the martyrs, who sacrificed their lives for safeguarding of the motherland, could never be paid and the people of the country would always remember their martyrdom.

HSA state president Sanjeev Malik said that 527 brave soldiers of the country had sacrificed their lives in Kargil.

He said that the forces of the country are fully capable to face any challenge of the enemy.
