Officers in Haryana asked to expedite construction of 1857 War Memorial

Haryana Director General, Information, Public Relations and Languages Department, PC Meena has directed the concerned officers, civil engineers and architects to expedite the construction work of the War Memorial being built at Ambala Cantonment along with various art work, digital walk-through audio-visuals work to depicts 1857 revolution.

 

While presiding over a review meeting regarding the construction of War Memorial here on Thursday,  Meena directed the concerned officers, civil engineers and architects to explore different aspects and possibilities for enhancing quality of civil structures, Art-work and galleries of the Museum. 

 

He directed the officials to decide the themes and to prepare the visualization for interpretation centre, Museum, Memorial Hall, Open air theatre and sound and light show accordingly in order to depict the culture, tradition and the contribution of the Martyrs in the Independence struggle of 1857.  

 

He also directed to consult historians, Art and Cultural Affairs Department and to form an Art Committee so that the chronology of the events can be properly displayed to the visitors.

 

The official also took stock of the ongoing construction work through the presentations and asserted to set the tentative time frame for the completion of the Museum. In the meeting, he was apprised about the details of the Museum by digital walk-through and 3D layouts.
