Paralympian Deepa Malik joins BJP

Noted Para athlete Deepa Malik on Monday joined Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).

She joined the ruling party in presence of Haryana BJP president Subhash Barala and party’s national general secretary Anil Jain at party headquarters in New Delhi.

She praised the works done by Prime Minister Narendra Modi towards welfare of ‘Divyangs’ and women empowerment.

She asserted that her presence would strengthen the organisation.

Welcoming Malik in BJP, Barala and Jain said that she was an inspiration for all.

Haryana Finance Minister Captain Abhimanyu said that inspired by the policies of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, people from all fields were becoming part of BJP.

Apart from Malik, sitting INLD MLA from Hathin assembly constituency, Kehar Singh Rawat also joined the BJP.

Rawat is the sixth MLA who has said good bye to the INLD recently.

Earlier, five other lawmakers had quit the INLD, joining Jannayak Janata Party (JJP) and BJP.

Seeking their disqualification from State Legislative Assembly, senior INLD leader Abhay Singh Chautala has also offered his resignation from the post of Leader of Opposition.
