‘Russia seeks Haryana’s cooperation in poultry, fisheries sectors’

Russia has sought cooperation from Haryana in poultry and fisheries sector.
 
State’s Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare, Animal Husbandry, Dairying and Fisheries Minister, OP Dhankar said, “Keeping in view the success of Haryana’s Peri-Agriculture concept in Delhi and NCR area, Russia has sought cooperation from Haryana in the said sectors.”
 
He was presenting his report card on the achievements of his Departments during last about five years in the ‘Meet the Press’ program organised here on Tuesday.
 
Dhankar said, “Yesterday a call was received from the Central government to provide cooperation to Russia and for this purpose.”
 
The minister further stated that he had recommended the names of four persons, who did excellent work in poultry and fisheries sector. 
 
These are Ravinder Machhrauli of Machhrauli, Panipat, Mahipal Dhanda of Panipat and Jasbir Deswal of Safidon, Jind for the field of poultry and Sultan Singh of Karnal for the field of fisheries, he added.
 
Notably, three out of four these persons are sitting MLAs including BJP’s Panipat Rural legislator Mahipal Dhanda.
