With the nation celebrating scrapping of Article 370 and bifurcation of Jammu & Kashmir into two Union Territories (UTs), Haryana Vidhan Sabha here on Monday passed a resolution thanking the Central government for taking the decision to revoke Article 370 and Article 35 A of the Constitution which granted special status to the state of Jammu and Kashmir.
The resolution was moved by the Leader of the House and Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar on the second day of the monsoon session of the Vidhan Sabha.
Moving for the historic move, Narendra Modi-led government at Centre, took decided to bifurcate the state into two UTs; Jammu and Kashmir which would have a legislature, and Ladakh which would be without a legislature.
